Discussions sections provide an opportunity for you to informally discuss concepts and solve problems with your TA and classmates.  Although attendance at discussion section will not be strictly enforced, you may earn up to 2% extra ‘participation’ points. Your TA will determine your participation grade, if any, at the end of the quarter.

Note: you are only eligible for ‘participation points’ if you have a registered clicker device.

You may be able to switch to a section other than the one you are enrolled in. To request a switch, you must submit your request through the google docs on Saturday, April 6 between 9 and 10am. The link to this file will be available here before April 6. Requests outside of the specified time-frame will not be considered, nor will requests that are not submitted through the google docs form. Please note that if class sizes become too large, we will have to turn down requests.  If your request is granted, your section assignment will be adjusted for you in URSA by April 12.  If your request is denied, no change will take place and you will not receive any further notification from Neil or the TAs.
