The position is open from September 1, 1996, or later. The position should be filled by an experimental chemist with documented research experience within the field of chemical reaction dynamics, with special emphasis on the evaluation of the mechanisms of fast chemical reactions and characterization of the molecular transients. The applicants' research area should entail possibilities for establishing fruitful cooperation with other activities at the Department within the field, encompassing electrochemical studies of organic electron transfer reactions, reaction studies using femtosecond laser spectroscopy, and theoretical studies of solvent effects on reactions in solution. The successful applicant is expected to participate in the Department's teaching obligations at all levels, in line with the other members of the staff. Applications should include a curriculum vitae giving evidence on which the evaluation of the applicant's scientific and teaching qualifications can be based, a complete list of publications together with three copies each of those publications (a maximum of 20) which the applicant selects as the most relevant for the application.
