Research in the Garg Laboratory at
UCLA is directed toward the development of synthetic strategies and methods,
while pursuing the total synthesis of bioactive molecules. Areas of interest
include asymmetric catalysis, organometallic transformations, heterocycle
synthesis, umpolung reactions, and cascade processes. Several representative
synthetic targets are shown below.
