The Airport near UCLA is the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). It is located approximately 11 miles (18 km) south of UCLA.
SUPER SHUTTLE
One of the best ways to get to UCLA
from LAX (and vise versa) is by means of the "Supershuttle."

PARKING
Parking permits are REQUIRED at UCLA. Vehicles not visibly displaying parking permits, parked illegally, or parked in a location not designated on the permit, are subject to ticketing and towing. There are 11 Parking & Information booths where assigned parking permits can be purchased for $8 USD (Daily). You can visit the UCLA Transportation Services website for more information.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AROUND UCLA
Although the public transportation reputation in LA is not so good, the UCLA/West LA area has a decent transportation system that can take you to some nice places during your stay here. The Big Blue Bus can take you to places like the Getty Center, Santa Monica Beach, Venice Beach, the famous 3rd Street Promenade, and the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), among other places. You may visit their website at www.bigbluebus.com for additional information on the bus lines and tourist & recreational areas. Many bus lines take you directly to the UCLA campus. You may also want to consider visiting the world famous Rodeo Drive, where the stars do their shopping, in Beverly Hills.
Other lines are the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) and the Culver City Bus .
