My current research project involves resonance Raman, absorption and emission studies of various mixed valence compounds. These range from coordination complexes wherein two redox-active ferrocenes are bridged via a rare earth metal to organic mixed valence complexes. In studying these complexes we hope to learn more about the possible origins of electronic communication in mixed valence species.
