TEMPORARY LECTURER POSITIONS IN CHEMISTRY

 

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at UCLA seeks applications for temporary lecturer positions in the areas of General Chemistry Laboratory and Organic Chemistry during the winter and spring quarters of the 2007-2008 academic year.  Responsibilities will include lecturing, conducting regularly scheduled office hours, writing and grading exams, problem sets and lab reports, and meeting with teaching assistants.  Qualified candidates will have a Ph.D. in chemistry or biochemistry and have significant teaching experience at the college level.  Candidates should provide a curriculum vitae and a statement of teaching philosophy (ca. 1 page), and should arrange for 3 letters of reference.  The materials should be sent to: Lectureship Search Committee, Office of the Chair, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, UCLA, Box 951569, Los Angeles, CA 90095-1569.  Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
