There are at present THREE churches in Churchill, a Protestant church, a Catholic church and an Evangelical church of some sort. This one I know to be still-standing, because I visited it as part of a tour group my first time up. It is a very pleasant and nice place, but no longer stands alone, if I recall. There has been some building-up.

 

They must have kept themselves warm in winter by burning wood. Odd, there isn't THAT much up there.
