The Rolling Tundra Lodge

The page is still under construction. I have a few slides of this, taken from a tundra buggy, but have not yet turned these into prints. I have not yet stayed in this facility, and therefore cannot offer first-hand experience.

Staying at the Rolling Tundra Lodge, however, looks like a really good bet for photographers. The tundra buggies don't really get moving until around 8:00 a.m.--too late for daybreak shots. By the time the light on a good day starts to get interesting, with all sorts of pinks and golds, the tour ends and you're on your way back to town for dinner. Since guests at the tundra lodge can go to outdoor viewing platforms whenever they happen to be in residence, their photo opportunities are expanded.

Be prepared to pay somewhat more than you would by going with a group that stays in town. If you are eager to learn about this option right now, contact:
