    PI: Dr. Anastassia Alexandrova

    Born in USSR, she obtained her B.S./M.S. degree with highest honors from Saratov University, in 2000. She obtained her Ph.D. in Theoretical Physical Chemistry from Utah State University, in 2005. After that, she was a Postdoctoral Associate, and then an American Cancer Society Postdoctoral Fellow at Yale University. Anastassia joined the Faculty of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, UCLA, and CNSI in 2010.

Dr. Elisa Jimenez Izal, Postdoctoral Associate

Elisa obtained her Ph.D. in the University of the Basque Country in 2014, with Prof. Jesus Ugalde and Dr. Jon Matxain.

Olivia Irving, Graduate Student, CARE and XSEDE Scholar

Olivia graduated from UCLA in 2016. She was an Undersgraduate Researcher (XSEDE Scholar, and CARE Fellow) in our lab, and now continues as a second year graduate student.

Project: In collaboration with Prof. Paul Weiss, she studies metal-bound peptides, for their sturcutre, local electornic effects, and RedOx chemistry.
