PerkinElmer Paragon 1000 FT-IR Spectrometer
In our Freshmen Chemistry laboratory courses, students learn the theoretical aspects of IR spectroscopy in lectures. Computer software (Spartan PC PRO) is then used to re-enforce such concepts. In the laboratory, students routinely obtain IR spectra of organic compounds that they synthesize in labs. These components bring together both the theoretical and the experimental aspects of the IR spectroscopy to our students.
