Funding
There are many types of funding associated with our graduate program.
Teaching/Research Assistantships
- Students who are awarded a Teaching Assistantship or an Research Assistantship
are also awarded a fee remission, or a fee break, by the department. The
fee remissions
are paid directly to the university toward your registration fees.
Training grants
- New and continuing students are elligible to apply for training grants
affiliated with the university. Currently we have students supported by
the Cell and Molecular Biology Training Grant, the Genetics Training Grant, the Chemistry/Biology InterfaceTraining Grant, and the Biotechnology Training Grant.
Students who are supported by such training grants are also granted full registration fees.
