What do Chemists Really Do?
Biochemists:
Knock out a random gene and see if the bacteria are dead, then tell the world
some unknown gene is required for cellular function.
Physical Chemists:
Find some random system and stick it to some random instruments in the lab, then
somehow slap "y = mx + b" to the "data."
Organic Chemists:
Buy some random chemicals and mix them together, and there is your novel organic
synthesis.
Inorganic Chemists:
Study the chemical elements left over by other chemists.
