This course details fundamental theory and principles of atomic and molecular structure and nomenclature; physical states and properties of matter; overview and periodic relationships of the elements; chemical equations and reactions; models of chemical bonding; structure and reactions of acids and bases; structure and properties of solids liquids and gases; chemical thermodynamics and properties of solutions.

    In Chemistry we use calculators all the time, so get a calculator that you feel comfortable with that is also affordable. The calculator that I recommend if you don't have one already, is the Sharp EL-506W scientific calculator. It is very cheap (about $10.00) has so many useful functions for the price (my favorite is the quadratic equation solver). It's available at Fry's Electronics and many other places.
