All About Me

Hi! My name is Robert Stackow and I am currently a graduate student in Professor Christopher S. Foote's research group here at UCLA. My graduate work with Prof. Foote has taken me into several very interesting areas of organic photochemistry, if you would like to see more about our work then click the link below.

Biography:
I was born in Lewiston, New York, and was raised in the village of Youngstown, which lies approximately 10 miles north of Niagara Falls, where I developed a passion for basketball, and the Buffalo Bills. Upon graduation from high school I attended Niagara University, and successfully graduated in the winter of 1995 with a Bachelors degree in Chemistry. Fortunately, while an undergraduate I participated in a NSF summer research program through SUNY Binghamton. Through this program I was able to work for a summer in the group of Dr. Richard B. Kaner. That summer completely altered my career, and spurred me to continue my studies in graduate school (ironically, at UCLA).
