Of a Biochem Grad Student
I'm a 6th year graduate student at UCLA, Department of Chemistry and
Biochemistry. The Great Y2K Bug:
With some regularity, someone (family, friends, even random people I
meet at Ralphs) asks me when I'm planning on graduating. My answer, usually in an irked
tone, "2000 was the plan, but the reality appears to be beyond me."
Here is a photo of our class, at the end of our first year.
Mostly everyone has gone on to post-doc, teaching, and industrial positions. But we have our memories, and e-mail,
thankfully so.

Yes, I am developing a complex about this.
I'm a little fanatic about UCLA
basketball.
Given that Toby has graduated on to the NBA, I watch with less avidity these days.
Snowboarding is now in my
vocabulary, thanks to Holly and a recent
spring break trip to Heavenly
Valley.
There's a black cat in the bag, named Doug.
