Hi Alice,
The unit my father was with was the Quartermaster Board, based out of Fort Lee, Virginia as the First Artic Test Team attached to the 7099th. They were to train and test equipment along with the Canadians. Attached is a photo copy of the patch that was worn on their jackets and shirt shoulders. I sent it just in case any others that might have served under the same unit can identify with it. Also a few more photos from the field. I noticed in your photos on the website the same "Tar paper and wood strapping" on the buildings as in the group photo I sent you of my father's group after coming in from the field after 10 days.
