Highways: The major highway that cuts through San Cibola is .The 5. running north and south. Highway 20 is the main east/west road. There are two circles. The smaller is the 21 (the 'minor loop' by the locals), and it connects Downtown, Chinatown, Hillside, and Spanish Town. The larger circle, the 17 (called 'major loop') connects outer sections of the city. The more popular highway into Fortuna is 117. There are other smaller tributaries that flow in and out of the major highways, 120, 220, 70, and 170 (running mostly east/west), 121, 211, 421 and 215 (running mostly north/south).

SCAT: San Cibola Area Transit (SCAT) is a light-rail system that is both surface and subterranean. It runs through the city and as far south as San Jose, connecting with the BART system.

Water Taxis and Buses: The best way through the Canal District is with a water taxi. There are a limited number of these small boats running through the canals, making them a fast mode of transportation. There is also a water bus that moves large amounts of people down the San Cibola River that feeds the canal district.
